Summer Knitted Dress Blog By Day

Print Friendly and PDF

Hi guys, how are you doing? It's hot in here. My friends asked me to knit something light that could be used on the beach, so I created this summer dress/blouse. This is a project to large women (US size 8 -10). If you are not this big, you can knit using a size 5mm straight needle, the best thing to do it's actually calculate it based on your gauge, but it's a large project anyway.

I created this pattern for myself, but I allow you to used it for yourself, you can knit it for friends, or even sell the final blouse, but don't forget to give the credits back to my blog ok... it's a simple project but it gave me some work. I also recorded a video tutorial and divided it into two parts. I hope you like it too. Have a great week.

Size:
Large (US 8 to 10).

Gauge:
5x5cm = 7 sts x 5 rows.

Materials:
Size 7 mm knitting needles.
3 skeins of Anne from Circulo Yarns.

Front and Back:
Cast on 73 sts.

Row 1: knit all the sts.
Row 2: knit all the sts.
Row 3: knit all the sts.
Row 4: knit all the sts.
Row 5: knit all the sts.
Row 6: knit all the sts.
Row 7: (k1) k1 *yo, k2tog* (k1).
Row 8: (p1) p1 *yo, p2tog* (p1).
Row 9:(k1) k1 *yo, k2tog* (k1).
Row 10:(p1) p1 *yo, p2tog* (p1).
Row 11:(k1) k1 *yo, k2tog* (k1).
Row 12: (p1) p1 *yo, p2tog* (p1).

Repeat these 12 rows 7 times.
After that, knit 12 rows.
I divided the first 18 sts, and the last 18 sts.
Now work only on the first 18 sts.
Row 1: k18 (turn your work).
Row 2: Slip 1, k17.
Rep these 2 rows (6 times) = 12 rows. Bind off.

Bind off the central sts until the last 18 sts. The last 18 sts are the second shoulder. Knit the same way as you knitted the first one (12 knit rows) and bind off.
